Nothing much to do today so I have been surfing the net all morning and pretty much clicked on every link that looked interesting. Then I came across this website that do stress tests on some of the latest phones. This is something like the “Will it Blend?” that we all know and love except the tests were actually based on actual scenarios that users might encounter on their beloved devices.
The tests were done by GadgetStress.com, and it seems that the most views they got were from Apple’s iPhone 4 and Nokia’s N8. The tests ranged from dropping the phones to exposure to dust and immersion in beer, yes! BEER!. Beer apparently is a better conductor than water, but of course there is a different test for water immersion.
At first, I thought some tests were a bit extreme. I mean could you imagine people dropping their phone down the stairs onto a bucket of water? Then I remembered that my dad actually had that accident on his Sony Ericson P900 back in 2008. It was brand new before and up until now it still looks brand new since he was not able to use it ever since the fateful accident. Guess you never can tell what is extreme and what is not…
